Recent Seascape Picts

Well, river-scape would be more accurate. This is the Imazu, tidal river. These shots are about 500 meters from the Inland Sea, where you can see the sun trying to break through.

Wow! The clouds are realy dramatic, especialy in the reflextion. How long of exsposure did you use? In the color picture, did you have to adjust the colors much to get the blue to pop out like that?

Nice work. I love reflextions.

Corey,

To answer your questions, not a long exposure at all. For the b/w one, I used AV @ f9, the camera chose 1/125 second. The clouds were dramatic, the weather was clearing after a couple of days of rain. And for the color version, I just boosted the saturation and vibrancy a tiny bit to get the blue sky to pop. RAW captures the blue that is there. It's up to the shooter to bring it out in post production, thus the digital darkroom. By the way, the "vibrancy" feature is unique to Apple's "Aperture 2.0" software. In Photoshop you can do something similar using the "curves" feature, I think.
